The GEIPP-II Ukraine Project invites specialists in conformity assessment, certification, auditing, and consulting to take part in the practical training “Conformity Assessment and Certification of Eco-Industrial Parks in Accordance with DSTU 9328:2025.”

The event will take place on 21–22 September 2026, from 10:00 to 16:30 each day, in Kyiv, and requires in-person participation. The number of places is limited.

Participation in the training is free of charge.

Prior registration is mandatory: https://forms.gle/RfsQaLqfuVgWZHM46

On 2 September 2026, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine legally introduced the concepts of “eco-industrial park” and “industrial symbiosis.”

DSTU 9328:2025 already establishes sustainability criteria and an assessment method for industrial parks. The next question is how to move from the standard’s requirements to their practical implementation and assessment.

This will be the focus of the two-day practical training.

For specialists in conformity assessment, certification, auditing, and consulting, this is an opportunity to:

  • work through the methodology for assessing conformity with the requirements of DSTU 9328:2025;
  • learn how to develop and analyse the evidence base;
  • understand assessment planning: defining the scope, audit programme, team composition, sampling, and sources of evidence;
  • work through the practice of auditing management systems in accordance with DSTU ISO/IEC 17021-1;
  • practise the principles of conducting audits and developing substantiated conclusions;
  • examine the certification process and the rating system for determining the EIP class.

For technical experts, the training will help to:

  • practically examine the criteria of DSTU 9328:2025;
  • understand what exactly needs to be implemented to comply with the EIP model;
  • determine which documents, data, and practices can confirm compliance;
  • assess the current status of a park and identify gaps;
  • understand the next steps for preparing for conformity assessment.

The main focus of the training is practical work.

The training programme includes case studies, group exercises, self-assessment of a hypothetical industrial park, evidence analysis, assessment planning, practical audit exercises, and a final knowledge check.

Upon completion of the training, participants will receive certificates of participation.

The GEIPP-II Ukraine project is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine, with funding from the Government of Switzerland through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
