On 6–7 July 2026, a two-day workshop in Cherkasy was conducted for representatives of Biosense Industrial Park, focusing on improving the park’s master planning documentation in line with eco-industrial park approaches and developing a practical plan for further action.
The review of the master planning documentation and the discussion of potential improvements were structured around the following key stages:
- Reviewing the current status and lessons learned from the development of the Biosense Industrial Park concept plan.
- Discussing the work plan for implementing the provisions of the park’s concept plan.
- Introducing the methodology for reviewing industrial park master planning documentation in line with EIP approaches and relevant international examples.
- Reviewing the core content of the master plan and assessing its alignment with the International Framework for Eco-Industrial Parks.
- Identifying and prioritising potential improvements to the master plan and defining the scope of work and action plan for implementing the priority improvements.
As a result of the workshop, an agreed list of priority measures regarding master planning of the Biosense Industrial Park will be developed, together with the next steps for their practical implementation. This will support the integration of the environmental, social and economic requirements of the EIP model into the park’s spatial and infrastructure planning.
