Rising energy costs, partially disrupted supply chains, and the need to attract investment for reconstruction quickly – these are the challenges Ukraine’s industrial sector faces right now. Eco-industrial parks offer a practical response to each of them: local energy generation from renewables and shared infrastructure, industrial symbiosis between residents, alignment with DSTU 9328:2025 and the criteria of the EU Green Deal and green taxonomy, and the creation of stable employment in Ukraine’s regions.
EIPs are not about ecology for its own sake. They are about measurable economic outcomes. Every step taken toward EIP development today means lower compliance and adaptation costs tomorrow.
