Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II - Ukraine Country Level intervention

Online training “Meeting the requirements of the EIP Standard”

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), within the framework of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP) funded by the Swiss government through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), invites you to participate in the training dedicated to meeting the requirements of the EIP Standard.

The GEIPP program aims to implement circular economy approaches in industry, reduce the climate impact of industrial activities, and enhance the resilience of industrial parks to climate change.

The development of a draft National EIP Standard began in 2024. As of May 2025, the final version of this standard is undergoing the registration process. Once registered and officially in force, industrial park management teams interested in EIP status will be able to use this standard to verify that their parks meet EIP requirements. Since the standard is based on the International Framework for EIPs (2021) developed by the World Bank, GIZ, and UNIDO, its implementation requires equipping relevant experts with the necessary knowledge and skills.

The training will focus on topics related to ensuring industrial parks’ compliance with the requirements of the National EIP Standard.

The training modules will cover the following EIP topics:

  • EIP approach;
  • EIP Assessment Tool;
  • EIP park management indicators;
  • EIP environment indicators;
  • EIP social indicators;
  • EIP economic indicators.
