On February 29, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Economy signed a letter of support for the second phase of the project “Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme: Country-Level Intervention.” The project is implemented by the UNIDO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, with financial support of Switzerland Government through the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO).
The second phase of the project, with a budget of 3 million Swiss francs, aims to promote the circular economy, reduce the impact of the industry on climate change, support industry restoration, and improve value-added chains over the next 5 years.
The second phase of the project is built on the results achieved during the first phase, particularly, on the development of the legal basis of the eco-industrial park approach and the integration of this approach into policy strategic documents, notably the Industrial Parks Development Strategy for the period until 2030.
