A total of 46 representatives from cluster organizations, chambers of commerce, development agencies, and local authorities participated in the training.
The participants were introduced to general information on cluster development in Ukraine, UNIDO’s information resources dedicated to cluster development, the eco-industrial park (EIP) model, key approaches within this model, and selected tools that support the transformation of industrial parks into EIPs. They also explored the possibilities of applying these approaches and tools for cluster development and for strengthening value chains in the manufacturing sector. Additionally, the participants learned about the principles and strategies of the circular economy and discussed the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of such practices in companies that are members of clusters or located in industrial parks.
