Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II - Ukraine Country Level intervention

Registration open: four-day training on planning and design of new eco-industrial parks in Lviv

From 13 to 16 July 2026, the GEIPP-II Ukraine project will hold an interactive practical training in Lviv: “Planning and Design of New Eco-Industrial Parks in Ukraine”.

Who this training is for

The training is addressed to representatives of industrial parks and service providers for industrial park planning and development, including developers, park management, and professionals from relevant organisations. Places are limited, with preference given to those who register first.

Objective of the training

The objective is to strengthen the practical knowledge, skills, and professional interaction of participants in planning, designing, developing, and managing new eco-industrial parks in Ukraine through the application of EIP tools.

The programme is structured around the principles that determine whether a new industrial park succeeds:

Demand orientation. A new park is designed around the real needs of future tenants and the market, not abstract planning norms.

Competitiveness. Participants will learn how to shape parks capable of attracting investment and competing for tenants, including on the EU market.

Risk resilience. EIP approaches make it possible to build resilience to risk in from the planning stage onward, which is especially important under current conditions.

Business opportunities and tenant benefits. Participants will work with tools that help create industrial parks delivering economic, environmental, and social benefits for the park itself, its tenant companies, and the surrounding community.

Practical format

The training runs for four full days, from 9:00 to 15:30, and requires in-person attendance. This format allows participants to make full use of the time for hands-on practice with planning and design tools. The exact venue in Lviv will be communicated to registered participants for security reasons.

Why this matters

The quality of planning at the outset determines what an industrial park will look like in five or ten years: whether it can attract investors, meet EU requirements, and create new jobs for the local community. Investing in sound planning today means fewer costly corrections tomorrow.

The training is part of the GEIPP-II Ukraine project’s systematic work to prepare Ukraine’s industrial parks to operate to standards that are competitive on the EU market, and to lay the groundwork for the sustainable economic recovery of Ukraine’s regions.

Registration

Registration is open until 15:00 on 20 June 2026 or until all places are filled.
