The project “Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II – Ukraine Country Level intervention”, which is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in cooperation with the Ministry of economy, environment and agriculture of Ukraine, within the framework of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP), funded by the Swiss government through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), invites you to participate in the seminar dedicated to raise awareness about integrating the eco-industrial parks approach into regional development strategies.
The event will be conducted in Lviv on December 8, 2025.
The GEIPP Programme is aimed at introducing circular economy approaches in industry, reducing the climate impact of industrial activities, and increasing the resilience of industrial parks and their companies to climate change.
The seminar will focus on topics related to the integration of the eco-industrial park model into regional development strategic documents, particularly at the level of industrial clusters. It will cover the following topics:
- The EIP approach;
- Economic and environmental benefits of integrating the EIP approach at the industrial cluster level;
- Integration of the EIP approach into regional development strategic documents;
- Gender-responsive and inclusive planning of sustainable industrial development;
- Overview of research results on integrating the EIP approach into industrial clusters in Ukraine;
- Drafting regional development priorities based on the EIP approach
Target audience
The seminar is intended for representatives of regional-level authorities and development agencies, local self-government bodies, industrial clusters, industrial parks and businesses, as well as other organizations.
