On 2 December in Cherkasy and 8 December in Lviv, a seminar was held on integrating the eco-industrial park model into regional development strategic documents, particularly at the level of industrial clusters.
More than 80 participants joined the events, including representatives of regional authorities, municipalities, development agencies, industrial clusters, industrial parks, and businesses.
The seminars covered the following topics:
• the concept of eco-industrial parks (EIPs) and cluster development, and approaches for their integration into regional strategies;
• international examples of implementing the EIP model and successful cooperation between industrial clusters and public authorities;
• economic, environmental, and social benefits of the EIP model for local development;
• potential directions for adapting regional strategies to the principles of sustainable industrial development;
• development of regional priorities for integrating EIP and cluster development approaches.
The seminars also provided participants with an opportunity to exchange relevant practical experience in these areas.
