Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II - Ukraine Country Level intervention

Ukraine is Building the Future of Industry – and You Can Be Part of It

On 27 May 2026, Kyiv will host an event that could mark a significant milestone in the development of Ukraine’s green industry. The GEIPP-II Ukraine project is convening the 1st National EIP Platform Meeting  – a new permanent forum where business, government, academia, and international partners will together shape the strategy for the country’s sustainable industrialisation.

Why does the National EIP Platform matter?

The development of eco-industrial parks in Ukraine is not simply an environmental question. It is a tool for reducing operating costs for business, creating quality jobs, preparing the industry for EU standards, and attracting green finance. For these processes to unfold systemically and effectively, ongoing dialogue between all stakeholders is essential. The National EIP Platform has been established precisely for this purpose – as a communication instrument for sharing practical solutions, fostering cross-sector cooperation, and accelerating EIP development across the country.

What will be discussed at the first session?

The agenda covers both strategic and practical matters. Participants will learn about the structure and objectives of the Platform, and receive an update on the key results and upcoming priorities of the GEIPP-II Ukraine project. A dedicated session will focus on real-world cases – practical examples of EIP model implementation, resource-efficient and cleaner production, and industrial symbiosis in Ukrainian industrial parks and clusters. Participants will also discuss how the EIP model is being integrated into national and regional policy frameworks, and together identify the main challenges and priority needs for scaling EIPs across Ukraine.

Who can participate?

The event is open to a broad range of stakeholders: industrial park management companies and resident enterprises, representatives of ministries, regional and local authorities, business associations and clusters, experts in circular economy, industrial symbiosis and sustainable development, financial institutions and investors interested in EIPs, as well as academic and research organisations. If your work is connected to industrial development, energy efficiency, or the green transformation of the economy, this event is for you.

The session will take place on 27 May 2026 in a hybrid format: in person in Kyiv and online via Microsoft Teams. The working language is Ukrainian.
