On 9-10 July 2026 in Khmelnytskyi, the GEIPP-II Ukraine project will hold a two-day interactive practical training: “Strengthening the Competitiveness of Industrial Parks through the Eco-Industrial Park Model. Master Planning and Feasibility Assessment.”
Who this training is for
The training is designed for representatives of industrial park initiators and management companies who have previously participated in similar training programs, as well as professionals from organisations providing planning, design, and industrial park development services. Places are limited, and priority will be given to applicants who register first and meet the participant selection criteria.
What the training covers
The programme is structured around two practical blocks.
The first block focuses on master planning. Participants will work through approaches to analysing and improving industrial park master plans in line with the International Framework for Eco-Industrial Parks, set priorities, development pathways, and prepare action plans for their implementation. The emphasis is on hands-on application of UNIDO tools through group exercises and thematic sessions.
The second block focuses on feasibility assessment. Participants will practise the methodology for assessing the feasibility of new eco-industrial parks: market demand forecasting, risk and opportunity analysis, assessment of infrastructure and investment needs, and access to financing.
Practical format
The training runs for two full days, from 9:00 to 15:30, and requires in-person attendance. This format allows participants to make full use of the time for hands-on skill development in group settings.
The exact venue in Khmelnytskyi will be communicated to registered participants for security reasons.
Why this matters
The master plan for an industrial park is not merely a spatial map; it is a comprehensive document that outlines the approaches to the park’s investment and operational activities. Sound master planning and a well-grounded feasibility assessment are the foundation for attracting investment and ensuring the sustainable development of an industrial park. These are the competencies that determine whether a park can compete, meet EU requirements, and become a platform for the green recovery of its region.
The training is part of the GEIPP-II Ukraine project’s systematic work on building the capacity of industry professionals – so that Ukraine’s industrial sector has the expertise to operate to international standards today, not just after reconstruction.
Registration
Registration is open until 15:00 on 18 June 2026 or until all places are filled.
