On 8 July 2026, the GEIPP-II Ukraine project, together with Vinnytsia City Council, held the workshop “Strengthening industrial development in Vinnytsia region through collaboration between Municipality and industrial parks”. The event brought together managing companies and developers of industrial parks in the region, planning departments of the city council, and international and national experts.
Vinnytsia Oblast is one of the regions where industrial parks are already operating and related industrial initiatives are underway, while new facilities continue to develop. This creates a strategic challenge: to transform individual sites into a system that works in synergy.
Workshop participants examined five areas of industrial synergies: supply chain synergies, shared engineering infrastructure, by-product and waste exchange, shared services, and urban-industrial synergies between parks and the community.
As a result of the workshop, priority opportunities and an operational model for their implementation in Vinnytsia Oblast will be identified.
International practice confirms: industrial synergies are not only about the environment. They are about reducing operating costs, improving the reliability of resource supply, and better preparing businesses for EU requirements.
Thank you to the team at Vinnytsia City Council and to Maksym Martianov, Director of the Department of Economy and Investment of Vinnytsia City Administration.
